GET /api/paths?q=python searches the public catalog. No key required. Optional q is limited to 240 characters; optional id selects one exact path. No query lists all paths. Responses include version, total, and paths with canonical URLs.

GET, HEAD, and OPTIONS are supported. Invalid queries return 400, unknown IDs 404, and unsupported methods 405. Public responses are cached for five minutes.
